Recipe for Peruvian maca drink

4 cups water
1/3 cup maca root powder
5 cloves
2″ of cinnamon stick
Sweeten to taste with brown sugar, maple syrup, agave, etc.
Combine all ingredients in a pot and whisk continuously while bringing to a boil.  Once brought to a boil, continue whisking and simmer for 2-3 minutes or until you get the desired consistency (generally a little thinner than a milkshake).
